Olá familia e amigos!!! Tudo bem?

First off, super cool points to the person who can tell me where that quote is from! "Everybody likes parfaits" Sister Truman and I say that so many times in one day, it's ridiculous.

I have officially HIT MY # MONTH MARK!!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!! I have made it 1/6 of the way!!! It's insane! I definitely do not feel like I have been out for 3 months!
Highlights from this week:

We met a man named José and he has been through so so much! He lost his wife, mom, and dad. We tried teaching him, but ended up just listening to him tell us about his life. He was crying the whole way through and it was heartbreaking! We just kept testifying that he was going to see them again in the next life and that would just make him cry harder. He has such a big heart and I know that if he believes what we have to say then he will find happiness and relief. It was absolutely heartbreaking, but we are going to make his life 10000000x better with the truth! Bam!!
We are teaching a man named Antonio and he met with us in a garden and brought blackberries that he had picked for us! He also brought some homemade jam! He is so sweet! He told us that he walks an hour to the train station to get to church. If that isn't dedication, I have no idea what is. He's incredible and he agreed to be baptized!

I have loved every minute of being here. We have met so many incredible people! I love the people here with my whole heart. It is such an honor to wear Jesus Christ's name on my chest and be His representative here.

I love you all very much and I hope you all have an amazing week!

Hard work pays off!

Olá tudos!!!!
Portugal is hot and is getting hotter by the second. I have never related more to the words of The Script, "I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing". We as missionaries are late for everything no matter how hard we try to be on time. We fast walk, jog, and even sprint to get to where we need to be. I love every second of it!!! :)

This week was a really slow, but really amazing one! All our hard work and rejection the past transfer paid off this week! We saw so many miracles and blessings in just this week already! We have been working hard every minute of everyday and now we are seeing the benefits. These people are incredible and are definitely changing my life.

I want to share two stories about two amazing women here in Cacém! The first one is Carminda. She has so much faith and has been going through a really hard time lately. She allowed us to talk to her because she said that she feels really good talking to us. We offered her a priesthood blessing of comfort and she accepted! We taught her some more and she went to church with us yesterday! She's amazing!
We also have Joelma!! She is also an amzing woman with a heart of gold! she gave us cake again! She is always willing to talk with us and learn more! I love talking with her and seeing how our messages are changing her life! She is an incredible example to us here!

I love you all so much! Make sure to see how Heavenly Father is blessing you each day! He loves you and cares or you very much!

Staying in Cacém!!

Sister Truman and I are staying in Cacém for this next transfer!! Woohoo!!  I AM SO HAPPY!!!!! I love this city and this ward so much!!!!!

We were freaking out because we didn’t want to leave. The next transfers are on September 24th. Half of our district (which are the people that are serving in the same area as us) are leaving to another area, so that is really sad, but it's okay!

I love this area! There is also a bakery that has the best pastries that is literally at the corner of our house and it has been closed since the middle of July. It opens on August 29th so Sister Truman and I were praying we would stay so we could eat something else there at least one more time!! I talk and think about food way too much here.

This week was hot and Sister Truman and I worked lots! It all paid off on Friday! This day was so full of miracles! We had to run, and even sprint, to catch 3 buses today. We would see that the bus was passing us, so we would sprint to catch it and we would every time! Miracles! I have never ran so much in my entire life than I have in the past 6 weeks.

Sister Truman and I decided to work in a city called São Marcos this day. We hadn't really worked here before because it is pretty far away, but we decided that we should see how it is. We tried to find some people on our lists, but had no luck. We decided to knock some doors where we were and we found a woman that said we could come back another day. We then found Joelma. This woman is incredible. We said we were missionaries and she let us in immediately. She offered us cake and coca cola without us saying anything else. This never happens. Ever. We talked with her and we had a really good lesson with her! She has had a really hard life and it was just really nice to talk to her. She said that she let us in because she felt a really good feeling when she saw us. It was incredible! I was able to feel just a portion of the love that Heavenly Father has for her!

I truly love being here and teaching people about Jesus Christ. These kinds of moments are the moments that make all the rejection and all the tears worth it! I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ.

I love you all very very much and I hope you all have an amazing week!

Love,

The supermarket that makes my heart beat faster
and my mouth water. They have amazing bread,
of course, and basically all their products are incredible.
It is really hard passing by this supermarket and not walking in.

I decorated my agenda! I love it!!

Hello everyone!!!

This week has been crazy!!!

We had to stay in one day this week because my companion was not feeling well, but I was able to read a lot of talks by the apostles of the church! They were exactly the words that I needed at that moment.

We went on exchanges this week and it was really fun! Sister Truman went to a city called Mem Martins with Sister Gubler, and Sister Ramirez came to Cacém with me! We were in the MTC together and we still don't know what we are doing, so it was definitely an experience! We knocked many doors and no one was home and I felt like we should really stop by someone's house that we had tried at least 10 times before. We got there and he was home! We talked with him outside his door and made an appointment to come back another day! It was a miracle! He is such a cool guy!

Yesterday, we had dinner with a member and we had to catch a train home at 9:33. The trains don't come as frequently on the weekends, so we needed to catch this train. We ended up getting out later than planned, so we RAN to the station. If y'all know me, I don't run. Well, I had to run this time, and let me tell you, I know that I had some divine help, because there is no way that I could have ran for 15 straight minutes without some form of help. We got to the station and when we hit the top step, the train pulled in. My body finally caught up with the feelings of running 15 minutes and I felt like throwing up. I didn't but I felt absolutely awful. I should really take exercise time more seriously!

This mission is not easy at all, but we are finding some people that really want to know more about what we believe. I am also learning a whole lot and growing so much. My testimony of the gospel is a lot stronger than what it was when I left home. I really want to be here!

I am really scared because I am forgetting all my Spanish. My whole mind is working in Portuguese and my Spanish is becoming impossible.

I'm also addicted to the ice cream here. It's absolutely amazing.

I want you all to know that I have a strong testimony on the atonement of Jesus Christ. No matter what you have done in your life, no matter what kinds of bad choices you have made, Jesus Christ is there to welcome you with open arms back to Him. There is no need to feel a weight on your shoulders, when you can be forgiven and start again. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you all with everything they have. You are all God's children. We are here on this Earth to grow and become better. You are all precious and worth so so much! I love you all very much!

I hope you all have an amazing week!

I left my camera at home, so these are pictures off of Sister Truman's camera. whoops.

I'm not sure if i already shared this picture,
but Sister Truman and I made ice cream sandwiches
and they were amazing!
